Tlacotlapilco "Land of the Noble People". The Spanish Crown granted legal status to the area known today as Tlacotlapilco on July 12, 1695. The declaration recognized the Native people known as Hña Hñu or Otomis. Hña Hñu refers to the indigenous people & their language. Also known as the "triple tongue," Hña Hñu requires using the nose, throat and palate for prounuciation.

Creation of the Water Park: Welcome to Parque Acuático Ecológico Tlaco, the most remarkable water park in the state of Hidalgo. Natural surroundings including thousand year-old trees that border the Montezuma River combined with your host´s attention to detail, will relax your soul.
Inaugurated on February 2, 1993, the Park was constructed on a hot water spring next to to the Miguel Hidalgo Bridge.
Location: Tlacotlapilco is located 3.5 miles (6 kms.) north of Chilcuatla, Hidalgo between the 20 & 22 parallels and 34 degrees latitude and 99 minutes, 13 seconds, 10 degrees longitude Greenwich meredian. Altitude is 1,800. meters above sea level which provides a temperate climate. The Water Park is acessible from Mexico City, Pachuca and Querétaro. |
